These were for my husband’s waterproof trousers that he uses for walking in the rain. He is 84. The clips on the braces were almost impossible to open. Not designed for elderly arthritic fingers. Eventually after a couple of broken fingernails and using a screwdriver we managed to attach them to his waterproof trousers where they will stay!

I bought these braces twice to wear with a wedding out fit. On both occasions the rear ‘clasp’ failed. I exchanged the first pair for a second pair that also had the exact same problem. Would not recommend. This is. Shame as I never had a problem with M & S clothing before.

Good quality braces which have an unfortunate tendency to slip off the shoulders. I overcame this problem by clipping an extension onto the back limb and taking up the slack with the adjusters at the front. This could be easily overcome during manufacture and also save material by reducing the lengths at the front.
