The Cascadia 19 is comfortable and the traction is great. I was a tad disappointed with the color. The shoe is much more yellow than tan/sand as pictured. Having said that, I’ll be keeping them!

The perfect trail shoe

Grippy, supportive, water tight shoes - work or trails

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are some of my favorite hard-core work shoes and are ideal for transitional seasonal, wet-weather wear. I have worn these for hours and have little knee or foot pain. The grip is excellent, very sticky, and I've rarely slipped while wearing them on tile or on the road. They do run a bit tight, and breathability is inherently not as great as typical running shoes, so thinner socks are preferable, but the padding loosens up over time. I previously owned an all-black model that was incredibly waterproof for at least a year, which is impressive, especially coming from a saltwater lab where splash over is inevitable and need toes to stay dry.

Overall larger shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these in a wide since I have been running with the Cascadia 16s and my understanding was these are a little snugger in the toe box. I would say that overall they are just a much larger shoe, taller and wider and the wide gives me a very generous toebox that accommodates my orthotics. My only concern is it might be a little too wide and the overall shoe feels much larger. The DNA loft feels amazing!

Good shoe but could be better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I generally like the shoe overall, I think this is my 4th pair. I wear them for pretty easy suburban trails at 2-3 miles. I’m giving it a 4 star rating for a few reasons: 1- they seem to wear out FAST (especially in the inner heel); 2- they can be a little hard to break in, although once they are they are fine; 3- PLEASE PLEASE provide more colors in wide!

Great shoe for extra toe box room

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the fit and comfort. This is a great choice for a rotation to supplement the Glycerin, which is my go to shoe. I started wearing the Cascadia because it was the only waterproof one and it was so comfortable that I bought a pair for days when my feet were tired from too much walking and hiking. I am also ordering a pair for my husband who has been wearing Glycerins for years but wants a new pair with more room in the toe box.

Cascadia 19 for the Camino de Santiago
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Cascadia 19s for my Camino de Santiago pilgrimage this spring. I've been wearing them on my training walks for a month now, and I love them. They are comfortable and provide just the right amount of grip on the trails.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am loving my new cascadia shoes. I have been a Brooks fan since my first 13.1 in 2013. I purchased my first pair at the convention center day before event. Cadence were the shoe made for my feet, in blue color. After many years, it got discontinued and the replacement for my feet is now Launch. In May, my son and I will take a trip and do Camino de Santiago. I have been breaking in my awesome color Cascadia 19 and I love it!!! Very comfortable. Toe roomy. Breathable. I am excited to use this show for many walks and trail runs.

The Best Trail Shoe
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The good: These are extremely durable shoes (thank you Brooks… I can always rely on your gear to last years) and are supportive as well. They did have a break in period where my ankle did blister but I would say that is normal for shoes which will last. I intermittently used my pair of Cascadia for walking, running and hiking for 4 yrs in a variety of conditions (mud, sand, light snow, rocks, dirt). My feet never ached or felt fatigued and my ankles had enough support and enough room for movement. They are fast drying if you get them wet in trail. Grip is perfect if you are looking for help with precision with your step. I had a knee surgery during the time I was wearing these shoes and lost stability in one leg briefly but I intentionally chose to wear these shoes for walking on a gravel rec path and they offered me stability when my body didn’t. Once I hit the max mileage on these shoes I tried 2 different competitor trail shoes just because I liked the colors offered. My brief experience with the non-brooks shoes confirmed how great the Brooks shoes are: in the non brooks, I ended each outing with my feet aching and those non-brooks shoes looked super dirty and held onto dirt while my brooks seemed pretty stain resistant. The material of the non-brooks was also showing pulling/tearing after just a few uses while my years-old brooks had never torn. I would enthusiastically recommend this shoe!

Great comeback!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Cascadia is back!!! I ran in Cascadia for years, since their inception. However, due to the changes over the past several years, particularly the stiffness and lack of ground feel, I had to find a different shoe. I read so many reviews raving about the 19 I decided to give them a try again, and boy did they deliver. They are smooth and easy to roll through. The cushion is forgiving but not overly soft or marshmallowy. The faster I ran the better they felt. The tongue is comfortable but not too thick. I am REALLY happy I tried them! changed too much,

Good looking, fit didn't work for me.
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so hopeful that the Cascadia would work for the icy/snowly paved trails in my area. The tread looked promising, but the fit didn't work for me. I suponate slightly and the outside edge of the shoe felt uncomfortable to me. I ended up returning these.
