RIP My Ankles
Originally posted on Nike
I do strength based classes with cardio segments mixed in (tabata, emoms). My feet were ACHING after doing a jumping based tabata. I had to take them off and finish barefoot. The back is also very high up and was rubbing against my ankle. It ended up making cuts in my ankles from the rubbing. Overall, it was a super uncomfortable shoe and not great if you're planning to do anything more than lifting. Even my walk home from the gym was painful. I'm so sad these didn't work out, I really wanted to love them. They are very cute, though!

Small

Wanted to love them, but they run so small. I’ve always worn a 9 in Nike. When I tried them on my toes were so tight. Didn’t want to go up half a size

The best shoe

Thank you for going back to metcon 5 style. I was not a fan of the 6 and it was getting hard to find shoes! Love!!!

Great for all workouts!
Originally posted on Nike
I agree with other reviews, loved the Metcon 4s, the 5s were ok, and 6s were a dissapointment. The 7s so far have been great for running, lifting etc, and are the most similar to the feel of the 4s.

Comfortable and they don’t slip! Love these shoes!
Originally posted on Nike
Absolutely love this shoe. Runs a little on the larger side, but as long as the shoelaces are tied well they fit perfectly. I haven’t had one problem. So it’s a comfortable,Good fit and there’s no slipping on my wooden floor where I work out. I do lifting and various types of cardio so just a note. I don’t use them to run or jog or anything. Absolutely beautiful design too. They look just like the picture!

Nike you messed up
Originally posted on Nike
Huge downgrade. Worked out in these(leg day). The toe box is narrow, causing pain in my pinky toe. My feet kept sliding during the hack squat. I did not feel locked into the shoe the same way I did with the Metcon Free 6. This could be due to the newly added tongue. The shoe seems a little bit higher than the previous version, so my walking lunges felt unstable. The free metcon 6 seems lower, so I felt more grounded during leg exercises. After having the shoe on for a few hours, my feet started to ache. Lastly, the shoe looks ugly in hand.

My fave Metcons yet!
Originally posted on Nike
I loved the Metcon 4s, I liked the 5s, I was not a fan the 6s. The 7s are my favorites overall. They are nice and flat, so perfectly stable for lifting. They also have enough cushioning for comfort while walking or short treadmill runs. Sizing: Seens to be a bit different from previous versions— I typically wear a size 9 in most Nike shoes. But, I wore a size 9.5 in Metcon 4 and a size 9 in Metcon 7.

Large and not comfortable
Originally posted on Nike
The Metcon 5’s were the best and were true to size. The Metcon 6’s fit 1/2 size too big for me as well as all of my gym friends. They still were comfortable but you had to tie the laces tight since they were wide. These Metcon 6’s also are too big, at least 1/2 size and very wide. They are also still and do not have the same amount of cushion.

Wonderful!

These are so cute on and very comfortable. I wasn’t a fan at all of the Metcon 6 because my foot felt very unsupported. I decided to try the 7’s and absolutely love them.

Great gym shoes, stable and comfortable. For me, they’re perfect for gym training, especially if you mix weights with some cardio.

Horrible design and fit
Originally posted on Nike
Nike always does this. They have a good product and then they do a redesign and mess it up. I wore the metcon 6s for four years and loved them. Do not fix it, if it is not broken. These shoes are rigid, the material is different and rub the sides and heel, the 7 is a completely different shoe. Uncomfortable compared to the Metcon 6. Bring them back!! These are NOT it.

Not as comfortable as my previous pair of Metcon. Style not as expected, makes my feet look wide. Will be making an exchange.

Not worth the purchase

Love how the shoes feels and looks. However the front of the show is so narrowed that your toes are so thight in the front . Wish I would return them of how bad they are .

Cute style

Very cute shoes, love the new style. They do run small though so I would definitely recommend sizing up at least a half size.

Overall great choice
Originally posted on Nike
I’ve been impressed with the Nike Women’s Metcon 7. They’re incredibly comfortable during weight training, with a stable yet cushioned feel that makes a big difference during longer sessions. I also have plantar fasciitis, and these provide great support and help reduce discomfort while lifting. On top of that, they look amazing—sleek, stylish, and easy to pair with gym outfits. Definitely a solid choice for both performance and style.

Horrible

I have never written a review on shoes but these shoes are absolutely awful so I hope it finds the next person considering the new metcons . Nike has gone downhill after the metcon 5 fly ease, please go back to the 3,4&5 design. I gave these shoes a day thinking they were just a little sturdier and not as wide as the metcon 6s (thankfully) but by the end of the day I had blisters on the backs of both of my ankles and blood on the shoes (the size of the shoe fit fine)but the heel design needs to be reconsidered . It’s too high and hard as a rock.

They hurt my feet.

Great redesign - runs small!
Originally posted on Nike
I really like the redesign - given, I've only been able to try them one since they're too small but they feel much sturdier and comfortable compared to the 6s. I was a big fan of the 5s and these feel pretty similar to that so far. The heel is little more elevated. My true size is a 6.5 and my toe is right up against the tip of the shoe in these so I definitely recommend sizing up.

Very pleased to see the Metcon’s style is back to the usual look!

I love the style of the new metcon 7’s. I was not a fan of the 6’s, they made your feet look wide. I initially fell in love with the metcon’s because of the style of the 5’s and 6’s. I’m sooo glad that the 7’s do not make your feet look wide. I can’t wait for more colors to come out, I wear the women’s (9.5) and men’s (8).

the 4s are still my fave out of them all. i bought two pairs of the 6s and returned them both times. these are better but i noticed that some room was lost in the toe box area. with the 4&5, you could spread your toes better. the rubber/plastic part at the front is a little hard and can be felt on your toe which i dont love. these run the same as the others size wise, slightly smaller so go half size up. color ways aren't bad, same as usual. had higher hopes for the but overall not terrible- really just want more space to spread my toes
