Ghost 17 Trainers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ghosts have been my tried and true shoes for a few years now, but unfortunately this new model made a change to the heel design. Even with a runner's knot my heels kept slipping. A family member had a similar issue with hers, so sadly I think it's a change to the 17 model and not just individual preference or a matter of breaking them in.

Love the fit of these shoes. Feels like walking on soft pillows.

Seems something changed with materials. I have other Ghosts in the same size and they are so comfortable. The material does not feel the same and they fit tighter…wish I hadn’t worn them so I could return them. These feel color is pretty though…

The rep, encouraged me to order the new, just came out a week earleir, Ghost 17. VERY COMFORTABLE and supporting and a difference maker on my feet. THey are great looking shoes too! I like the new tongue with the stretch material at the top.I have been wearing them about 5 days. My concern, is hoping the support lasts for more than a month or two as previous shoes seemed to do in the past. THANKS Brooks for great service. Oh yea - the great thing about ordering on-line, I am returning the walking shoes I ordered for a full refund! I will always order on-line for that reason! THANK YOU! Doak Turner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not sure if they changed the cushioning on the inside of this shoe, but the balls of my feet hurt after walking. There is not much cushioning at all.. that is what made the shoes comfortable all day. I don't see that now.

I have several pairs and styles of Brooks. I use them for different things. Like having to walk farther or a more stable shoe in other cases. I have this same Ghost 17 including color. I have been wearing them for over a year. When I saw the sale I decided it may be getting ready to be discontinued. So I bought another because it offers me more stability on various surfaces. I am no longer a runner nor able to participate in a lot of activities. But I want to be comfortable and safe. I do like the look of this color combination.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ghost 17 earned one star because the colors were very nice and I hope to see them in future models. Beyond that, I was extremely disappointed in the changes from the 16 to the 17. I have worn Brooks shoes for over a decade and have rolled with many changes and updates to shoe models. This time, I could not. The shoe felt completely different to me, from top to bottom. Here's hoping the 18 is closer to the 16 or I am going to need to find a new shoe.
