Great jeans except the length

Lovely soft material and great clout. Fit is great too except the length. I am 5 feet 4 and got a regular but thought I might have to take them up a bit however they were at least 3 inches too long. Dressmaker I took them to to alter said they were exceptionally long for a regular size.
