Husband has had some treatment for sun damage on his face so required a wide brimmed hat. Fits well, looks good and seems good value. As he is still unaccustomed to wearing this style of hat some time will be required for him to give a verdict.

My head size is just about 60cm, I ordered L/XL and it was a good fit as soon as put it on. When its on, it will not be like the picture, its more flat on the top. There is no adjustment to the hat apart from the string that can be used in windy conditions. It will go down flat so that it can go in a suit case, I have got 2 pieces of cardboard to put it in for this, so it keeps the brim flat.

Bought for a holiday to Australia and New Zealand so it had to be able to go in a suitcase- folds down easily but keeps its shape when worn. Lightweight with a wide enough brim to protect the back of the neck. A good buy.

Bought these hats for husband to replace100% cotton ones which are no longer available. He wears them most days as the wide brim shields his eyes from the sun when playing golf. He will be weading them in hotter climates so not sure how comfortable the synthetic fabric will be. Hopefully not too sweat making as M&S doesn’t appear to have natural fibres any more. Will be answering this review as my husband, not me, as he is the person who will be wearing the hats.Husband says so far so good!

The description of the hat was matched by the actuality. It fits perfectly (and I have a large head) and feels comfortable. The UV protection is a stand-out feature but, most of all, the all around protection is fantastic. I hadn't expected coverage of the entire back of my neck; it achieves that with no effort. Highly recommended.
