I purchased two sets of the grey Hampton crockery together with coffee cups and saucers to match, tea mugs and the sugar and milk jug. Absolutely lovely. That is the reason I purchased the teapot to conclude the set. The teapot boasts that it holds up to 4 mugs of tea. When the teapot was delivered I found that it was far too big and quite cumbersome and the thought of handling the weight of the pot when it contained boiling hot water together with the fact that the top of the pot was not secure was definitely a no, no for me as it is a potential accident waiting to happen. The teapot lid also has a lip like most teapots do but this does not lock. Unfortunately, I have had to return this item and hope M and S produce a smaller, safer and more elegant teapot together with tea cups and saucers to match that I will happily purchase.

Love this teapot to match my mugs and my sugar bowl great size for when I have guestsI just need a milk jug but there is not one to match I’ve been trying to get some cup and saucer too but unfortunately there always sold out in the grey But so please with what I got so far I’ll keep trying for the cups

Very disappointed in this teapot. Looks lovely but when I started to pour a cup of tea it overflowed over the top of the teapot. The neck of the teapot is quite wide and the lip to hold the lid in place is very narrow, so as you tilt the teapot to pour, it overflows the top. The tea ended up all over my worktop and, quite frankly, boiling hot tea going everywhere could scald someone. So I will be returning this teapot to M&S for a refund.
