Moab Speed 2 Trainers

Very comfortable, reasonable price, amd I liked the color. I have many Merrell hinking shoes amd they have mever let me down. Traction and tread wear have always been superior.

Purchased these in November 2025. They are very comfortable however, the sole of the shoe has worn down now to the point that I have to replace them. Love the shoes but wish they would last longer. A little disappointed that they are wearing out so quickly.

Probably the worst athletic/hiking/running shoe I've ever purchased. Length was correct in size 9.5 men's. However, the height of the toebox is so low that the tops of my toes rubs against the top of the toebox. Worn just once, they are simply unwearable. Every time I see them sitting on the shelf in the closet, I think "what a waist of money". Such a poorly designed shoe. BTW, this is the first negative review I've ever written on a shoe, and I own tons.

I bought the Moab Speed 2 in April 2025...have worn them only a few times...and already the shoe webbing has snagged and pulled...every time I put them on I look at it and wonder why I spent so much money on these...guess that's why you went to leather...thought they were a quality outdoor shoe.

I bought these to replace running shoes for casual and long distance walking. They are wider and more supportive, resulting in my feet being less sore and tired. I would definitely buy them again.

Purchased august 2024. Only wore for about 3 months total. Shoes still look very new and soles hardly worn. Pulled out this year for first snow storm and noticed sole was coming unbonded. 20 year Merrell wearer but this will be my last unfortunately.

Purchased these in September and within a week the sole had already begun separating on the toe. Not a huge issue as it didn't seem to get much worse but now, a few months later both heels have begun deteriorating. With the heels wearing down the shoes become uncomfortable and hard to wear for more than a short walk. The same thing happened with my first pair of Moab Speeds but not until at least a year after purchase and daily wear. Disappointing as I really do like these shoes, they're comfortable and have great traction but I'd hesitate to recommend them given the durability issues.

After owning four pairs of Moab Vents, I decided to switch it up for something a little lighter and sleeker, and these definitely fit the bill. There is less lateral stability, the sides aren't made of suede, and there's less padding, but they definitely feel lighter, look sleeker, and are nicely cushioned. I'm hoping the additional mesh compared to the Moabs will make them airier in the summer. Knocking off one star because they seem to sit higher up on my ankles and the sides are a bit stiff, but as of now, that's my only complaint. Sizing was consistent compared to the Moab Vents. The soles are definitely just as rugged with good lugs and a comfortable drop.

Ordering another pair. These are super comfortable and durable.

What can I say about these shoes other than this is my sixth pair I love them. I hike them constantly. As long as it’s not snow they are grippy. I hike the northeast 115. I’ve climbed up rock faces. I’ve never had a blister. I’ve been wearing these for over two years. They are a complete game changer. I never have uncomfortable feet and I don’t slip on rock. I’ve taken these on 24 mile to versus in the white mountains Adirondacks and Maine. I still dance out of the woods after a long day.
