Moab Speed 2 Waterproof Walking Boots

I’ve had my Moab Speed 2 Thermo Mid Waterproof for over a year and they are great. Nice light weight and warm well into the low 20’s. Good price point, especially on sale. Glad the new ones changed the old double buckle to a single one that is easier to tie, highly recommended.

These are a fantastic middle ground between somebody trying to decide between a trail running shoe and a full blown hiker like the Moab 3. I only have 50 miles in them, but I did 26 in the Superstition Wilderness last weekend on the more rugged trails and they were flawless. I did drop a different insole in preemptively to help assist my wide/low volume/high arch feet, but no complaints on fit with those in place (not that I tried hiking in the stock insoles). Great grip. I genuinely can't think of anything I would change. They are not the prettiest, but I didn't buy them to wear around town.

Lightweight, very comfortable right out of the box, excellent quality, and a really good-looking boot. Very pleased!

loved the boots but quality issues with badly separated soles anss pull on that break off after leas than a year of wear Of part time use on regular streets. has happened with several pairs over past 10 years

These are the lightest weight boots of this type I've had. The sole is very bouncy, more like a Hoka than the Merrell Moab. If I had to have just one pair of shoes 👟 shoes, this I would choose ‼️👌🤠

These Moab Speeds are a fashionista's dream.Can wear these with all the right outdoor gear.

Great comfort, support, and grip, especially on ice and snow. Keeps my feet nice and warm during cold Minnesota winters. Highly recommended!!

I recieved a pair of these for Christmas and they are amazing! They feel perfect on the feet and are lights as clouds! The gore-tex option is well worth the money as I value my hiking boots to be waterproof. Side note... I usually wear size 9.5 but the 9's out just that little bit better.

Holy cow-what an incredible shoe! I am not an outdoorsy person. My job is on a school bus with snowy, wet stairs chasing after two dozen young people. I needed protection for my feet, durability for my wallet and slip resistance for my bones! This shoe solves ALL of those issues. Today it’s snowy and icy in New Jersey. My MOAB Speed 2s are laughing at this weather. I ordered exactly my size and feel it is precisely what I needed. Keep in mind, with a shoe like this you are going to wear a thicker, heavier sock. I would buy this shoe OR any other MERRELL shoe in a heart beat.

Lightweight and comfortable - these were great on some difficult hikes I did in Yosemite. Lots of grip and comfort. I’ll be taking these to Arizona next and using with microspikes.

After a full year of daily wear as an electrical lineman, and hiking on weekends, I feel equipped to give a good honest review of these boots under harsh wear. After a year (of my wear), they are toast. I have accelerated the wear by not treating them solely as hiking boots. However, in this time here is what I have learned. The glue holding the sole on near the toe is the first thing to go. Both of my boots had to be reglued much too early. They are incredibly comfortable and versatile. They look fantastic. The soles are much softer than a moab 3, but that’s by design, not a flaw. Just something to consider for longevity’s sake. Waterproofing did not last long in my experience. After a year of abuse, I have another new pair in my locker at work waiting on me when these finally give out. The soles are glued on and the tread is almost entirely gone but I’m seeing how long I can stretch them. To have been essentially abused, I’m very impressed. Consider my review a torture test. My brand new pair that’s waiting on me also has a weakly glued toe though, so that is a design flaw. Overall though, great boot. When these blow out I’ll grab my new pair and give them another go.

Great light, comfortable, and grippy boots! Early days but am enjoying wearing them out so far on the trails, now in snow, keeping me warm but not hot so far.

Have had these for a little less then a year. Wear them for work in law enforcement. I switch out my boots so I don't wear them every day. The soles/tread is already worn down. The "waterproof" Gor-Tex is not actually water proof. These are my 1st Gor-Tex boots and they are not what I expected
